We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you in your student’s education. One of the ways we can best support you is by sharing meaningful feedback about your student’s academic progress and proficiency. We are proud of the incredible work being done by our MCS students and Home Educators, and the AK STAR test provides an excellent opportunity to showcase student growth and achievement. To celebrate their hard work and dedication, students will have the chance to win exciting prizes for each portion of the test they complete.
AK STAR stands for the Alaska System of Academic Readiness, and the test assesses students in grades 3-9 in English language arts and math. Additionally, there is a science test for 5, 8, and 10 grade students. Testing will take place between April 13-April 24.
