Dear Mat-Su Central Families,
As we've transitioned to a new Hybrid enrollment and course request process this year, we've made several adjustments to better support families and improve the experience. We appreciate your patience and flexibility as we work through those changes. We've also noticed many families are asking the same questions, so we wanted to share a quick update to clarify where things stand and what to expect over the next few weeks. You'll find the Hybrid Class Request Form and additional information HERE.
A quick reminder: The Hybrid course request process is separate from enrollment at Mat-Su Central. Families should continue to complete the regular enrollment and registration steps for Mat-Su Central as usual. Requesting Hybrid courses does not replace the school's enrollment process.
Hybrid Learning Class Requests – Frequently Asked Questions
Are Hybrid class requests open again?
Yes. We are currently processing the initial lottery requests and will continue filling available seats as new requests are received.
I already submitted my class requests earlier this summer. Should I submit them again?
No. If you already submitted course requests, you do not need to complete the form again. We are keeping all previously submitted requests and will simply add any new requests received during this reopening.
Where do I request Hybrid classes?

Is requesting Hybrid classes the same as enrolling at Mat-Su Central?
No. The Hybrid course request process is separate from enrollment at Mat-Su Central. Families should still complete the standard enrollment and registration process if they are enrolling with MCS.
Does submitting a class request guarantee enrollment?
No. If more students request a class than there are available seats, enrollment will be determined through the established lottery process.
When will I know which classes my student received?
Hybrid schedules will begin appearing in ParentVUE/StudentVUE as scheduling is finalized. The target date is currently August 10. As we review requests, we may add additional course sections or adjust offerings based on student interest whenever possible.
I have questions about a specific Hybrid class.Please contact the appropriate Hybrid teacher or the Mat-Su Hybrid office. Staff will be happy to assist with course-specific questions as scheduling progresses.
