The goal of Mat-Su Kinder Kick-Start is to help children prepare socially, emotionally, and academically for kindergarten. Children will develop both fine and gross motor skills through a variety of activities while fostering self-control, the ability to follow simple directions and a beginning understanding of personal responsibility, group, and individual cooperation. KinderKick-Start will encourage letter recognition, letter sounds, beginning phonics, number sense, rhymes, process and instructional art, early science, and social studies. Much of the discovery will be through creative hands-on activities, music, rhymes, and play-based learning.

We love incorporating experiential learning (learning by doing) opportunities into the school year! Class field trips to places like the Reindeer Farm, Fire Station, and Reflections Lake strengthen students knowledge of their community.

Miss Angie provides tips, tricks and training for educating your little one at home. You will learn lots of great ideas to replicate at home; enhancing the joy of learning for you and your child.
