February 11, 2026
Families of Mat-Su Central,
We hope you are settling into the new semester and have what you need to help your family succeed. Choosing to take an active role in your student’s education is a brave and meaningful endeavor, and we are honored to partner with you in that work.
As always, check out our full calendar and website for the most up to date information, including the Get Real Financial Fair happening tomorrow, February 12! Friendly reminder that the building is closed this coming Monday, February 16 for professional learning.
Upcoming Picture Day
- Our next school picture day is March 27, with time slots available from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Sign up today using this link.
Parking
- To help traffic flow smoothly, please reserve the circle drive in front of the building for immediate drop-offs and pick-ups only. Vehicles waiting in this area create backups that prevent others from entering the lot and safely dropping off or picking up their children. Thank you for your help keeping arrival and dismissal running smoothly.
Music Department Updates
- Ms. Kron is serving as our substitute teacher while Mrs. Schwartz remains out of the office a bit longer. Ms. Kron brings extensive experience as a music teacher in MSBSD and is doing a phenomenal job keeping Ruth’s program running smoothly.
- Please reference the updated Music Class Cancellations (S2) calendar, and reach out with any questions.
From the Accounting Department
- Visit our Allotment Support Page for contact information and guidance on how to best use your educational funds, including FAQs for answers to common questions.
Vendor Highlights
- At over 300 community instructional partners (full list here), it can be challenging to know where to begin. Check out our Facebook Page for a few highlights from this month.
Feedback:
- MCS thrives thanks to the creative insights from our home educators. If you have any ideas for how we can continue to improve our program, please share with us here.
Honored to partner with you,
Jason Moore and Nathan Chud
