This course is designated for students who want additional time and academic support. This class is tailored to meet the needs of all students at each individual student’s level. Teachers and students will target weak areas as indicated by current grades and specific needs. Instructors will monitor study skills and encourage communication between home and school. Students will also have time to work on current homework assignments and receive specialized tutoring. Student responsibility, self-advocacy and accountability will be stressed.

Students are welcome to join Study Hall on a drop-in basis but should remember that MCS is not a drop-off program like other schools. With some exceptions, most students attend Study Hall for 1.5 blocks in between on-site classes. Students also have the option to earn elective credit if they establish a schedule and attend enough consecutive sessions. Speak with your advisor to determine the schedule that works best for your family.
