Class Description
Skill of speech will enhance students' confidence, public speaking, stage presence, and overall performance skills through scenes, group games, and personalized instruction from experienced acting coaches. The main points of instruction are: scene study, improv activities, duo/individual monologue. There will be highly encouraged (but not required) speech competitions. These competitions include different forms of public speaking, such as: humorous interpretation, dramatic interpretation, improv, original oratory, and expository. Within these friendly and encouraging competitions, students will learn to overcome nervousness and communicate effectively in front of groups.
