Class Description
This musical is based on a beloved Eastern folk story that teaches children the value of sharing and caring for each other by showing how a group of visitors trick the villagers into sharing their provisions, and in the end, everyone gets together to share one big pot of soup. Amie Devine & Rachel Kroon will help the story come to life with singing, dancing, and acting. The actors and actresses will dress up like villagers with jeans or skirts and white shirts with aprons or hats, OR soldiers with black pants and shirts and red sashes. Once the sign up deadline is reached, Director Amie Devine will send out a script and videos of the songs for the students to practice with at home. They will be rewarded if they come to the first day of camp familiar with the content of the play. We have found that this format has proven to be quite successful when we only have a week to prepare for the performance.
