Class Description
Youth swim lessons are designed for swimmers ages 7 and up and follow the American Red Cross Learn-to-Swim program, emphasizing skill development, water safety, and confidence in the water. Swimmers progress through a series of levels that build foundational skills and advance at their own pace. Our goal is to introduce lifelong love of swimming while helping young swimmers gain the confidence and skills they need to stay safe in and around the water. A parent or guardian is required to remain in the facility. Instructor to swimmer ration 1:8
- Students may swim without a parent in the water, but a parent or responsible adult must remain on site for the entire swim time and assist their student getting ready before and after their swim
- If you are registering your student in a swim lesson slot you do NOT need to register for the open swim
- All swim lesson paperwork will be filled out through MatSu Central once you have enrolled and the class has filled – no need to fill out anything through the Palmer Pool – you will be contacted by December with paperwork information
