Class Description

Ak Wilderness Study is a Hand's-On class where students learn Safety and Survival in Alaska's winter landscape. Orienteering, Map Reading, preparation and planning for Outdoor activities in Alaska. Class will snowmachine out to Red Shirt Lake and stay for 3 days/2nights in the Cabins, working on building survival shelters, ice fishing and winter survival skills. 

Note: The course code will be titled "Alaska Wildlife" - This is only a "placeholder" code and is temporary - students taking the course will be transferred to the correct course code.
