Class Description

Adventure in Literature is an engaging, literature-rich language arts class designed for 3rd-5th graders who love to read—or are ready to fall in love with reading. This two-day-a-week course moves beyond textbooks to immerse students in high-quality children’s novels. Over the course of the semester/year, students will read, discuss, and analyze selected novels, exploring different genres such as historical fiction, fantasy, and adventure. The course is structured to maximize engagement during class time, treating reading as a shared adventure that builds community while strengthening critical thinking, vocabulary, and writing skills. This class is available for readers and writers as a semester long class.  If you love reading, register for both semester 1 and semester 2! This class is a supplement to your homeschool curriculum.
