Cozy Creations: Felt Mitten Sewing Class (Grades 3–5)

Event Description

Stay warm this winter with mittens you made yourself! In this hands-on class, students will learn simple hand-sewing techniques to create their own pair of soft, durable felt mittens—perfect for chilly northern days. No previous sewing experience is needed, and instructors will guide students step-by-step as they stitch their project. Enrollment: Grades 3–5

This is a 4-week course, and students should plan to attend all class sessions in order to complete their mittens.

  • DATES: Tuesdays and Thursdays, March 24, 26, 31, April 2, 7, 9, 14 and 16. This is a 4 week course. Students must be committed to attending every class date. 
  • TIME: 9:30 - 11:30 AM
  • LOCATION: Mat-Su Central School, 2055 N. Stringfield Rd., Palmer
  • ROOM: Wellness Studio (upstairs)
  • Cost: FREE. Due to a generous grant, Knik Tribe offers all materials and instruction for free.
  • Enrollment available for grades 3-5
  • Class size: 10 students max
