SCIENCE OF FLIGHT (Workshop & Field Trip)

Study the science of flight and gain knowledge of the different types of aviation and what makes things take flight.  This workshop will be 3 in-class workshops and one field trip to the aviation museum in Anchorage.  This workshop is designed with 3-6 graders in mind, other students may join as there is room.

Workshop Itinerary:
Location: Mat-Su Central School, Wasilla Campus, Roost
Date: Fridays, February 1st, 8th, & 15th
Time: 12 pm- 1:30 pm
For Elementary Students Grades 3-6
Instructor: Mrs. Catrina Herrick
Cost: $67 includes all workshop sessions and field trip

Field Trip Itinerary: 
February 22nd
9:50 AM, Check in at Mat-SU Central School
10:00 AM, board the school bus
11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Tour and STEM class at Aviation Museum: Location: Aviation Museum (Anchorage)
12:00- 12:30 PM, Sack lunch at the museum
12:30 – 1:00 PM, Student led scavenger hunt
1:15 – 1:45 PM, Tour Alaska State Trooper hanger
2:45 PM, Return to MSCS

Museum admittance for parents wishing to attend the field trip is: $5
