The goal of this class is to provide you with continuing intermediate and advanced challenges in painting techniques that develop your academic skill and creative expression.

Activities MAY include:

• Daily Sketches
• Collaborative games & projects
• Color Schemes
• Abstract Expression
• Spray Paint Resist
• Acrylic Painting on Canvas
• Self-Portraits
• Ink & water color washes
• Experimental Media
• Collage
• Pour Painting

Grading:

• Daily Sketches - Each class begins with a 10 Minute warm-up Sketch (full credit for sketch participation)
• Guided Practice - Participation in class assignments and skill building studies are essential to growth.
• Projects - include self graded rubric and reflection, instructor feedback, and peer discussion in class.

*Independent/Open Studio on Thursdays from 2-3:30

Students may use this time to work on class assignments or approved independent projects.
